About

Dixie Streams is an online radio network, online magazine and blog that focuses on music for country people.  We want to show the great music coming out of the south, and all over the country and even canada to people all over the world.

Dixie Streams reaches over 40,000 each month, and we're constantly growing.

A Message From The Gooch

I started my first radio station in 2007 in an effort to help local independent artists spread the word about music. I started out playing local unknowns like Zac Brown Band, The Lost Trailers, Corey Smith and more, and not just country.

To be honest, the hardest part was getting music.  Many local independents got it, but I rarely got more than one song a week to add to rotation.  Needless to say, I didn't have many listeners, and about 25 people a day would visit  The Georgia Jukebox.

In November of 2008, I made the decision to devote my site to mainstream country music. I knew I could get new music regularly, and the Online Country Radio scene seemed like a place I could compete.

Finally, in April 2010, I bought a share in a now 10 year old Online Station, Hounddog Radio. I knew I wanted to put up more stations, and I felt I had more in me. I decided to move the site to DixieStreams.com

So here we are. Multiple stations, serving thousands of country music fans on a daily basis, working with 4 or 5 other music lovers to develop the best website in Country Music.  We're not there yet, but I feel like we've laid the groundwork for something special.

Thanks for listening and buying music here.  I really appreciate each one of you.

  1. You have a great website that plays some of the best country music. I’m currently stationed in Germany, and its hard to find country music as you can imagine. So thank you for such a great site that reminds me of home, keep of the good work.

  2. Thanks C. Rice, first for everything you do for your country, and second for listening. It makes me feel good knowing we can bring a little home to Germany while you’re there.
