We’ve been playing April Cummings‘ music for quite a while now, and we just keep liking it more and more. One of the finest singers we know, April is an accomplished songwriter and performer who blends an intriguing mix of country, rock and soul to her music. Her first album, Just a Little Country, is a fine example of what we mean (we’re particularly fond of “On My Radio”, “Southern Livin’”, and the title track). The songs, the vocals, the production, everything is top-notch all around. I guess what we’re saying is, we dig it.

April hails from Gainesville, GA and proudly wears her southern heritage with style. She’s been featured in Gritz Magazine, and atlantacountrymusic.com nominated her Just a Little Country for “Best CD of the Year.” Those folks have some good taste. She’s currently working on her second album, which we believe will be ready for release sometime in late 2007 or early 2008.

We were honored to have April perform an acoustic set at our 2007 Birthday Bash. Whether it be as a solo artist or with a band, it’s always a treat to hear this beautiful lady sing.
