Jill Jack
By Frank “The Hounddog” Coon
I first herd about Jill in the hounddogradio chat during Friday night freedom. Her friend was in the chat and tuned in to the show and said she had a friend that had a cd out and how good it was. So I told her to send a copy to the station. She then told me she did already. So while the cowboy way show was on the next morning I looked at the last batch of cds I had received and sure enough there it was. So I thought what the hell lets check it out, and boy was I glad I did. After checking it out I put it on the server and proceeded to contact Carri. Then I thought why not profile it on the jam that night. So I played “burn baby burn, fast moving train, tumbleweed and tides.” again boy am I glad I did. This blend of blues, country with a dash of folk and a pinch of back bone rock gives her an Americana sound that she can call her own. One listen to this cd will leave you wanting more. The thing this dj was most impressed with is that it was an intimate recording that is live so you really get a feel for her and her music. Add Jill Jack to your collection and you will be glad to! For more info on Jill check out her web site at
