Ken Will Morton

Ken Will Morton treated us to some of his wonderful music during our inaugural “songwriters-in-the-round” (a.k.a., “Beer Club for Men”) evening in April ‘07, and we loved every one. His gritty, straight-ahead musical style and sharp-tongued, from-the-heart lyrics recall such luminaries as Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan, with a unique twist to it all that’s strictly Ken Will Morton. Originally hailing from Hartford, CT and now making his home near Athens, GA, Ken’s blend of blues, country, and rock has captured the attention of music critics across the country.

Ken’s first solo album, In Rock ā€˜n’ Roll’s Hands, was released in 2004 and caught the attention of music critics across the country as well as airplay on many charting non-commercial radio stations. The music takes listeners on the rocky and life-changing road that Ken himself has traveled.

King of Coming Around was released in 2006. We’re playing several songs from it and we think it’s as strong an album as anything we’ve heard in quite some time. With outstanding cuts like “Make Believe Love”, “Beautiful Moment”, and the title track, this CD would make a more than worthy addition to anyone’s music collection.
