Due West "I Get That All The Time"
Review by Matt Fortuna

A rare ilk in country music, Due West emerged this year from the plains of the great Northwest and Southwest – Wyoming and Arizona – to lace country music fans with some of the sweetest vocals on the charts.
Touring with Lady Antebellum, the all-male country trio that is Due West offers up “I Get That All the Time” as the lead off single to an expected upcoming album. With the trio of virtuoso vocalists, Due West is a mix of Emerson Drive melody with Brooks and Dunn cowboy, and “I Get That All the Time” has had fans swaying and swooning.

Due West
Under the influence of a capable lyrical set and a three part harmony that sounds like three best friends (which they are) on a Nashville street corner, the single represents what fans can expect from Tim Gates, Brad Hull and Matt Lopez in the future.
A look at the ecstasy of everyday family life, from dinner to PTAs and the little arms of children, “I Get That All the Time” is down home and sincere, and reflects a taste of country in the writing style of these three young singers. Sings the group: “Buddy when you get that kind of love / It’s the only kind of drug / That gives piece of mind in this crazy life of mine / And I get that all the time.”
Though they’ve not yet taken the charts by storm, the group has seen stage time with other prominent acts like Bucky Covington and they insist that they are connected to their songs. Says the band on their official website: “If the world wants real, if the world wants genuine, and if the world wants sincerity, Due West is going to be gigantic.”
And they just may be.

"I Get That All The Time" Lyrics
He stopped me on the street,
he was wearing a backwards baseball hat.
I'd never seen the devil smile
but I bet it looks a lot like that.
From his coat of worn out rags,
he flashed me a plastic bag and said,
Hey, this will get you high tonight,
and I said,
No thanks, I get that all the time.
When I walk into my kitchen,
kids are screaming, dinner's burning,
and I'm reminded we've got PTA tonight.
When I'm kneeling down
and feeling all those little arms around me
and my wife has got the bedroom in her eyes,
Yeah, Buddy, when you get that kind of love,
it's the world best kind of drug,
and I get that all the time.
She wore a cotton dress
so thin the sunlight came right through.
I've been a man for long enough
to know that come on look she used.
She sat down next to me,
brushed her hand across my knee
and said,
I'll give you the best night of your life,
and I said,
No thanks, you see, I get that all the time.
When I walk into my kitchen,
kids are screaming, dinner's burning,
and I'm reminded we've got PTA tonight.
When I'm kneeling down
and feeling all those little arms around me
and my wife has got the bedroom in her eyes.
Yeah, Buddy, when you get that kind of love,
it's the world's best kind of drug,
and, man, I get that all the time.
When I'm kneeling down
and feeling all those little arms around me
and my wife has got the bedroom in her eyes.
Yeah, Buddy, when you get that kind of love,
it's the only kind of drug,
that gives peace of mind in this crazy life of mine.
I get that all the time.
Yeah, I get that all the time.
