Hank Williams Jr "Red White and Pink-Slip Blues"
Review by Amy Blizzard
In these trying economic times, Hank 'Bocephus' Williams, Jr. debuts his new single 'Red, White and Pink-Slip Blues' from the upcoming album of the same name. The song title alone and the constant affiliation with anti-tax parties that were widely spread across the country on April 15th might make it easy to assume that the single, from an open John McCain supporter, is nothing more than an attack against the Obama administration.

The final verse is layered with frustration and possesses a truthful uncertainty, with the protagonist not knowing how his story is going to end. 'You know, I love my country, and I'm not one to complain. But there's a lot of us who feel like we've been left out here, out in the rain.'
