When I went to the Colt Ford show @ The Georgia Theatre a few weeks back, Lauren Briant did a small opening, but sounded great.  I've been listening to her on her myspace page a little here and there, and I'm impressed.  She seems to know how to use her great voice without overdoing it, and with a hint of Martina and a dash of Gwen, I'm guessing we may be adding another name to that list of "know them by their first name" before too long

Having been raised in Dallas, Texas, Lauren Briant is proud to have grown up as city girl with country roots.   Coming from a musical family, she was quickly bitten by the bug and started singing and performing at a young age and has never looked back.   Her first performances occurred daily at the ripe age of three when she would charge her brothers admission to her shows in the living room.  Loving the thrill of stage and all different kinds of music, Lauren started showcasing her talent on stage playing the lead in several musical theatre productions.  It wasn’t long before Lauren wanted to take music and performing to the next level. She started writing and recording some of her own songs, drawing from her city girl influences. She has recorded and has co-publishing credits along side Veit Renn (Backstreet Boys, NSYNC), Attitude (Nelly Furtado, Timberland), Bizarre from D12, Producers Play-n-Skillz (Akon, Hilary Duff, Camillionaire), Fiona Simone (Bubba Sparxx, Jazzy Phae, Attitude), Raab Stevenson (Justin Timberlake), and Shannon Houchins (TLC, Usher, Outkast).  While Lauren was excited about her success in the pop field, she decided it was time to explore her country roots. It was very obvious country was where Lauren was meant to be. “I feel more of a connection with country music and love how my voice feels belting out those Honky Tonk tunes!” Lauren has been hard at work writing and recording alongside Nashville’s Noah Gordon (Charlie Daniels, Clay Walker, Craig Morgan, John Michael Montgomery, Emerson Drive, Colt Ford, Tim McGraw), Philip Douglas (Lonestar, Tracy Lawrence, Billy Ray Cyrus), Dan Murph (Randy Travis, Sammy Kershaw, Aaron Tippin, Bucky Covington) and Country artist, Colt Ford (Jamey Johnson, John Michael Montgomery, Montgomery Gentry). She is currently touring with Colt Ford and loves every second of it, performing in Alabama, Tennessee, North and South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, and Mississippi. Lauren can also be seen on the Outdoor Network on the hit hunting show, “Hunting The World Southern Style” and recently became a representative of Prois Hunting Apparel for women. She is excited where life has taken her and is grateful it ties so closely with her love for Texas.
