The young country up-and-comer from Palo Alto, California infuses a bit of West Coast and simple, Valley girl into a country scene that is surprisingly devoid of that region. Signed this year to Atlantic Nashville, a long way from the coast, Jesse Lee has impressed early with her strong vocals and easy rhythms.

It’s a kind of anthem to stand behind, and represents a more mature alternative to Taylor Swift, with just as much energy, emotion and talent.

Currently dating the bassist Jeremy Davis from rock band Paramore, Jesse Lee is emerging in her new celebrity with cool confidence and the rest of her upcoming debut album is sure to echo the same sentiments as her first single.
