Justin Moore "Small Town USA"
Review By A. Blizzard:
First introduced to country fans through his cheeky debut single 'Back That Thing Up', Justin Moore shows a different side the second time around with 'Small Town USA'. A small town country boy himself who called Poyen, Arkansas (population less than 300) home before becoming Nashville-bound shares a writing credit with Dean Maher and Jeremy Stover in this musical ode to home.
Moore's laid-back delivery and rich twang gives the tune a vibe similar to the authentic roots of country music planted by legends such as Buck Owens and Waylon Jennings. Giving truth to the phrase 'a house is not a home' the verses in 'Small Town USA' focus on the people within the town, 'causes everybody knows me and I know them' including those who 'called it prison' during their teen years. And it pays homage to the hard work and sense of pride in lending a neighbor a hand that helped build the walls of small towns across America 'around here people break their backs to earn a buck, don't ever get ahead, but we have enough'.

Justin Moore is Small Town USA
It is a frequent right of passage for country singers to croon a song about their part of the country from John Denver recalling his days as a country boy, Dolly Parton singing about her mountain memories to current sensations Faith Hill and Little Big Town praising life as a Mississippi girl and a child of the Boondocks. Justin Moore's 'Small Town USA' may lack some of the classic lyrics and lively tune of homeland anthems that have come and gone, but it is jam-packed with a genuine sincerity that will surely give the folks back in Poken, Arkansas something to brag about for years to come.

Justin Moore "Small Town USA" lyrics
A lot of people called it prison when I was growin up
These are my roots and this is what I love
Cause everybody knows me and i know them
And I believe that's the way we were supposed to live
Wouldn't trade one single day in small town USA
Give me a Saturday night my baby by my side
A little Hank Jr. and a six pack of lights
Old dirt road and ill be just fine
Give me a Sunday morning that full of grace
A simple life and I'll be okay
Here in small town USA
Around here people break there backs just to earn a buck
Don't ever get ahead but we have enough
I watch people leave and they come right back
I never wanted any part of that
I'm proud to say that I love this place
Good ole small town USA
Give me a Saturday night my baby by my side
David Allen Coe and a six pack of lights
Old dirt road and ill be just fine
Give me a Sunday morning that full of grace
A simple life and I'll be okay
Here in small town USA
Oh yeah
Wouldn't trade one single day
I'm proud to say i love this place
Give me a Saturday night my baby by my side
Sweet home Alabama a six pack of lights
Old dirt road and ill be just fine
Give me a Sunday morning that full of grace
A simple life and I'll be okay
Here in small town USA
