Miley Cyrus "The Climb" already climbing Country Music Charts
Miley Cyrus has released her first single to Country Radio, and it seems like the Hannah Montana actor is doing better under Country's friendly umbrella than in pop-land. To Me "The Climb" is pure pop, but like I said, Country Music has opened a big umbrella, and Miley Cyrus is taking advantage of the good-will she's earned helping her Dad out with "Ready Set, Don't Go" in 2007. I don't think "The Climb" will hit the top 10 Country charts (maybe Top 20), but it will take the pressure off the pop run and leave Miley Cyrus open for a more country sounding Country song in the future.
Cyrus "The Climb" new song is predictably upbeat
I guess this is some kind of cross-promotion with Hannah Montana (I don't watch the show, sorry if I get details wrong), though I thought Miley was wrapping up her contract with Disney.

Reviews for "The Climb"
These are some of the reviews on the web for Miley Cyrus new song "The Climb". They may not all be positive, but none of them represent my view.
Overall “The Climb” will probably receive some airplay due to just who is releasing it but the song is not spectacular by any stretch as the name behind it will make it better to many listeners at radio. - Nashville 4 You
Her raspy voice brings a bit of country grit to the squeaky-clean piano notes -- this isn't about reflection, it's about determination. - L.A. Times
