request Rascal Flatts "Summer Nights"The ode and the anthem – the official introduction of the summer season – songs like Rascal Flatts“Summer Nights” usher in the months of camp fires and watering holes, school breaks and crazy nights.

Voted the upcoming second single by their fans, “Summer Nights" is featured on the band’s wildly successful seventh studio album Unstoppable Rascal Flatts "Summer Nights". The latest in a string of number one successes for the country trio, “Summer Nights” provides the album’s undeniable energy in the same way as “Me and My Gang,” “Bob That Head,” and “Life is a Highway.”

Co-written by Flatts’ lead singer Gary LeVox, the song is a frolicking look into the sweet promise of summer. Sounding like it was recorded around a bonfire with friends, LeVox pleads listeners to “get it on.” Sings LeVox:

“Well the sunset better set soon so we can get in the mood

Things start getting all heated up and it starts getting cool”

An energetic guitar highlights the song’s instrumentation, which is a highlighted feature of any Rascal Flatts song. The band, featuring two of the talented instrumentalists in country music (Joe Don Rooney on guitar and Jay DeMarcus on bass and keyboards), is privy to some of the top session musicians in the industry, and this song is no different.

The song is a summer jam in the same vein as the best of Kenny Chesney, and pleads for “Coronas in Daytona” and parties down in Padre. Meant to be played on the beach, next to the cooler and enveloping the party, “Summer Nights” is the kind of song you snap into place listening to. Rascal Flatts will have you singing along at any summer party, or jamming in anticipation all spring, fall, and winter.
