The Willimas Riley Band
The Williams Riley Band is poised to be one of the breakout stars of the late 2009-early 2010 country music scene, and the talent they have shown thus far has given them a promise of real country attitude and sound. Named after lead singer Steve Williams, the band promises an adventure into music and country.
With one hit under their belt, in 2009’s “I’m Still Me,” and a non-single release with “Take Me Back,” the band looks to shoot up the country radio charts with new single “Country Livin’” The second offering from their 2009 self-titled album “Country Livin’” shows off some of the energy and sound the band is known for.
The band can be compared to the Eli Young Band meets Rodney Atkins meets Gloriana, with infectious melodies, down home singing and a rock and roll country sound. New song “Country Livin” is a song about exactly what it implies, and the tried and true formula and topic is given a new sound and a new groove on this new single.
The band is made up of a country six-some, and is filled with contemporary country instrumentalists and writers. The band has collaborated with Slash from Guns ‘N’ Roses, as well as singer-songwriter Edwin McCain, and is working on creating a following with a sampling of styles and sounds, and a number of hits that have eschewed originality and country passion.
“Country Livin;” offers an upbeat guitar, a catchy drum tempo and the rock ‘n’ roll-country type vocals that have become a hit for contemporaries Jason Aldean and others. The band is a rare group of talented instrumentalists and songwriters, and though they’ve only been creating mainstream music on a label since 2009, they are looking to breakout to radio waves and television markets across the country, straight from the South and into your ears.
