Okay, I like to brag that I was the first to play Zac Brown Band, since I put "Chicken Fried" into rotation in July 2007, a full year before your other favorite radio station played it.  But "Whatever It Is" was always my favorite song.

So when ZBB Re-released The Foundation and it went to number 1 on Country Music Charts, I was stoked.  My original blog about the guys was, and still is one of my most popular blogs.

Zac Brown Band Has "Whatever It Is"

So Zac Brown Band's original record label was Live Nation.  One of their representatives contacted me and asked me to put up banners about pre-ordering the MP3 album.  Since Live Nation Didn't have an affiliate program (I'm able to pay for what I do by selling you CDs through affiliates like iTunes, ebay and Amazon) they agreed to send me an autographed CD for every 10 Cds I sold.

Even though it would cost me money, I agreed to do it, so I could give away a bunch of Cds on the website.  I got recognition that after a week I had sold 10 CDs. Awesome!   When the CD came out like 3 months later I got no replies to my queries about the CDs.

So I heard Atlantic took over the CD when Live Nation obviously couldn't handle the pressure of a number 1 song. BTW, ZBB showed they have whatever IT is by staying cool calm and collected during the whole process.  If  you didn't know the story, you'd never have guessed by listening to the band.  Not only are they great artists, they're consummate professionals

The Band's publicists then contacted me and asked me to  change the photos on the website, and sent me some new ones, which I happily changed out.  I asked them in the reply if they knew anything about the CDs and have heard no reply.

So I'm playing the original version of  "Whatever It Is" on the station and telling the readers of the blog to go to the old post to listen to the song.
